The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Muzaffargarh, in collaboration with PFA DG Khan, organized a successful awareness seminar on food safety, hygiene practices, and balanced nutrition at the Centre of Excellence GGHS Muzaffargarh. The seminar, which attracted around 540 attendees, including food business operators, school staff, and students, covered a wide range of important topics. Discussions included the introduction to the Punjab Food Authority and its regulations, food plant layout, the importance of personal hygiene, health and fitness, and cleaning and disinfection of kitchen equipment. Additionally, sustainable healthy eating habits, the effects of poor diet on the body, and the daily intake of macronutrients and micronutrients were thoroughly explored.
One of the key highlights of the seminar was the Free Health Screening Program, which was appreciated by both the chief guest and the participants. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where attendees showed great enthusiasm about applying food safety rules in their respective businesses. With approximately 120 clients catered to, the seminar successfully raised awareness about the importance of food safety and balanced nutrition, encouraging the adoption of healthy practices in both food handling and daily living.
