Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, the Nutrition Section of PFA organized a Health Screening Camp and Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Government Primary School Doulat Wala. The session, attended by 30 participants, focused on Types of Gastroenteritis (Viral, Bacterial, Parasitic) and emphasized the importance of proper hydration during hot weather conditions. Students learned about the causes and prevention of summer dehydration, the adverse effects of caffeine and sugary drinks, and the physical and mental health benefits of adequate hydration.
The seminar also addressed the role of essential nutrients in maintaining energy and disease prevention at different life stages, highlighting risks associated with poor hydration and unbalanced diets. Nutrition focused brochures were distributed among students, and the school management appreciated Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur’s commitment to promoting community health and raising public awareness.
