Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, the Nutrition Section of PFA Rajanpur conducted a Health Screening Camp and Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Government Primary School Kacha Faridabad. The session, attended by 30 participants, focused on the Common Symptoms of Gastroenteritis (Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps) and emphasized the importance of maintaining proper hydration during the summer season. Students were educated about the causes and prevention of dehydration, the harmful effects of caffeine and sugary drinks, and the benefits of adequate hydration for both physical and mental health.
The seminar also highlighted the role of essential nutrients in hot weather and addressed nutritional needs at different life stages, children, adolescents, and adults. Risks of poor hydration, including fatigue, dizziness, heatstroke, and reduced concentration, were explained in detail. Nutrition focused brochures were distributed among students, and the school management praised Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur’s ongoing efforts to raise community awareness on critical public health issues.
