Upon the directions of the Competent Authority, Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division, and under the supervision of R/DDO Hafizabad, the Operations and Nutrition Wing of Punjab Food Authority organized an extensive Outdoor Awareness Seminar and Nutrition Camp at Forces School & College System, SMB Campus Hafizabad. The event engaged over 200 students, 15 staff members, and provided on-site consultations to around 50 boys and girls. The program emphasized the Balanced Diet, Healthy Lunch Box Preparation, Water Intake, Food Safety, Gastroenteritis Prevention, Dehydration Management, Product Labelling (Expiry & Short Expiry), and Cold Chain Management.
Key activities included a Nutrition Awareness & Food Safety Seminar, a Kid Friendly Healthy Recipes & Seeds Stall, and a Nutrition Assessment & Consultation Camp featuring physical assessments (weight, height, BMI), personalized diet plans, and dietary guidelines. The seminar covered critical health topics such as dehydration, food poisoning, gastroenteritis, balanced diet for optimal growth, WHO homemade ORS preparation, and complaint mechanisms through 1223. Informative material, including diet plans, PCOS friendly diet guidelines, and food safety SOPs, was distributed among students, staff, and school administration. The school principal and staff appreciated Punjab Food Authority Hafizabad’s ongoing commitment to promoting public health and food safety awareness.
