PFA, DG Khan Conducts Seminar on Balanced Diet, Dehydration Prevention, and Food Safety

Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations DG Khan, the Nutrition Section of PFA DG Khan organized an Awareness Seminar and Nutrition Assessment Camp at Kashif Café, DG Khan. The session was attended by approximately 35 participants and catering to around 30 patients, focused on maintaining hygiene, adopting nutritious eating habits, and ensuring proper hydration to improve both health and workplace performance. Participants underwent assessments, including body weight, body fat, visceral fat, and BMI measurements.

The seminar covered essential topics such as the establishment and functions of PFA, food safety principles “from farm to fork,” nutrition challenges, causes and prevention of dehydration, food poisoning, gastroenteritis, and lifestyle modification. Guidance on personal hygiene, dietary treatment for foodborne illnesses, and the importance of eliminating banned items were also provided. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, after which the manager of Kashif Café appreciated PFA’s efforts to promote food safety, nutrition awareness, and public health.
