On 14th May 2025, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted a successful Nutrition Awareness and ELMS Food Safety Session at Government Graduate College for Boys, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad.
With over 100 participants, the session aimed to educate students about the importance of balanced diets, dehydration, and the critical role of Omega-3 in academic performance. Key discussions included the definition, causes, symptoms, and treatment of dehydration, as well as practical summer diet tips and healthy drink options.
The event also highlighted essential food safety practices, food safety hazards, and food poisoning prevention. A detailed demonstration on ELMS training and online registration was provided. Students were introduced to the PFA Nutritional Clinic and trained to read food labels and identify food categories using the Red-Yellow-Green system. The college principal and staff commended the PFA’s efforts in raising awareness and promoting public health.
