The Nutrition Section of Punjab Food Authority (PFA), under the guidance of Director General Punjab Food Authority, conducted a successful Nutrition Awareness Seminar and camp in collaboration with the Government Technical Training Institute in Toba Tek Singh to commemorate World Lung Cancer Day. Approximately 40 participants attended the seminar, where they were introduced to PFA’s initiatives and learned about essential topics such as food safety, balanced diets, and the nutritional requirements of young adults. The seminar also highlighted the significance of World Lung Cancer Day, discussing the causes, symptoms, and treatments of lung cancer, along with tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The event concluded with a tree-planting ceremony, symbolizing the commitment to promoting health and wellness in the community. Brochures on health and nutrition were distributed among the attendees, and the Principal of the campus commended the PFA’s efforts in raising awareness about nutrition and health.
