Induction Trainings of Baluchistan Food Authority Officers at the Punjab Food Authority Lahore
Upon receiving a formal request from the Administration of the Baluchistan Food Authority, the Director General Punjab Food Authority sanctioned a four-day induction training program starting from September 12th and concluding on September 15th for the newly inducted Baluchistan Food Authority officers.
The Baluchistan Food Authority (BFA) officers were warmly welcomed at the Directorate General of Punjab Food Authority in Lahore. Dr. Farhan Aslam, Deputy Director of Research and Development, provided an overview of the structure and operations of the Punjab Food Authority. He explained that the four-day training schedule had been designed to equip BFA officers with the necessary knowledge and techniques utilized across various wings of the Punjab Food Authority, aiming to enhance their capacity and performance within the BFA.
During this four-day capacity-building visit, BFA officers will receive training in laboratory testing and equipment, operations procedures and food inspections, Use of IT portals for efficient data lodging, Food labeling and product registration approval mechanisms.
Previously, Punjab Food Authority has had the privilege of hosting and training officers from the Baluchistan Food Authority, Gilgit Baltistan Authority, Sindh Food Authority, and KPK Food Authority. PFA takes pride in knowledge-sharing institutional collaborations as they contribute to fostering a food safety culture in Pakistani society.
