The Nutrition Section of the Punjab Food Authority in Faisalabad organized nutrition awareness seminars in several schools as part of the Safe Food City Project. These schools include:
1. The Smart School
2. The Democratic School
3. Al Jelan School
4. Etihad School
During these seminars, approximately 200 students were educated about the significance of a sustainable and healthy diet for school-going children, along with receiving valuable dietary advice.
Additionally, the nutritionists enlightened both the children and teachers about the steps taken by the Punjab Food Authority to provide quality and better food. The nutritionists underscored the advantages of prioritizing natural, unprocessed foods in their diets, emphasizing how this can significantly contribute to the enhancement of their physical and mental development.
Towards the conclusion of the seminar, the head of the institution expressed gratitude for the Punjab Food Authority’s endeavors in ensuring the provision of quality and wholesome food. They emphasized the need for responsible citizenship within the Punjab Food community, underlining that it is our collective responsibility to combat issues like food adulteration. Recognizing and applauding the positive initiatives of the authority is paramount.
